Donna is a native Californian living in the Washington DC Metro area. She has 30+ years of experience in leadership roles in both the for-profit and nonprofit sectors.
During chapter one she held multiple executive positions at Fannie Mae, including leading B2B sales & marketing, customer technology, product development, investor relations, and corporate planning and strategy.
Chapter two found her helping to architect GlobalGiving, a 20-year young social enterprise that supports community leaders and nonprofits around the globe, and raises funds globally for natural and humanitarian crises. Donna developed the organization's sustainable business model and built and managed multiple teams, including growing the crisis response team that managed more than $50M in funding for Ukraine. In 2022 she had the privilege to serve as CEO.
During both of these chapters, Donna developed and implemented strategies, established partnerships with Fortune 10 companies, was a sought-after public speaker, and actively coached, mentored, and led high-performing individuals and teams.
At Katahdin Group, and with a small number of clients, Donna is now leveraging her experience to help unlock leadership in others (organizations, teams, and individuals). She currently serves on the board of three diverse nonprofits, including her community swimming pool association and the Conservation Innovation Fund, which creates water, carbon, and biodiversity “climate assets” that meet the stringent regulatory supply chain needs of its corporate and municipal partners while supporting both climate-smart commodity products and local farmers.
In addition to the above, Donna has played leadership roles on local, national, and international boards, and has a BS from the University of California at Davis and a Certificate in Executive Leadership Coaching from Georgetown University.
